Biden Grants Relief to People With Federal Marijuana and Drug Convictions After More Than A year in Office

After more than a year in office, President Joe Biden granted clemency to dozens of people with non-violent federal drug convictions on their records. The week prior, A4J Director Erik Luna visited the White House with a contingency of activists and champions of criminal justice reform to urge the president to grant the clemency. Images of Luna’s visit to the White House were tweeted by his former client Weldon Angelos, a presidential pardonee of former President Trump.
